Afenda manages the certification of key personnel performing non-destructive tests. Certification proper is performed by the aerospace sector committee Cosac (Comité Sectoriel Aéronautique et Spatial).

Aprodeas is in charge of the development of aeroemploiformation.com, website dedicated to training, jobs and careers int the aerospace industry. Aprodeas also interfaces with French government bodies on issues involving professional training and education.

BNAE comprises Gifas members, the French defence procurement agency DGA, the French civil aviation authority DGAC, and French space agency CNES.
BNAE works on aerospace standards, mainly at European and international levels. Its working groups are open to industry experts and representatives of official bodies.

CIDEF, the French defence industries council, is an umbrella association for the main French defence industry trade associations : Gifas, Gicat and Gican.
It handles issues of interest to French defence industries at both national and European levels and liaises with government bodies on behalf of its members.

IAS (Institut Aéronautique et Spatial) is the French aerospace industry's education cooperation agency. IAS is responsible for developing a network of international partners who are major aerospace industry players in their respective countries.
IAS links with its international partners in three areas:

• Academic training
• Collaborative research support
• Continuing education, vocational training

These activities can be broken down into three main stages:

• Making contact with international partners
• Annual French Aerospace Industry Awards programme (FASIA)
• Services for manufacturers.

In addition, IAS offers a campus-type facility. IAS activities are dealt within the International Affairs Commission.

SIAE is the subsidiary of Gifas which organises every other year the Paris Air Show. The 49th edition of the Paris Air Show will take place from 20 until 26 June 2011 at Le Bourget Exhibition Center. This show is the largest worldwide event and meeting of the aerospace industry with 2000 exhibitors and 140 000 professional visitors. This event also allow to show the our young generation a panel of career in the aeronautic and space field through a forum organized by the Social Affairs and Training Department.
