    Paris Air Lab: an immediate access to the innovations of today and tomorrow

    For the 52nd edition, to be held on 19-25 June 2017, the International Paris Air Show will breathe new life into the sector by offering trade visitors and the general public a truly pioneering and original exhibition space.
    This exhibition area presages the air shows of the future and offers immediate access to the innovations of today and tomorrow: Paris Air Lab.

    Paris Air Lab will be located right in the heart of the Paris Air Show, in the Concorde Hall of the Air and Space Museum, where two examples of the famous supersonic Concorde airplane are on display. This 2,000 sqm space will be dedicated entirely to innovations from the major players in the aerospace industry, as well as those of the start-ups in the sector.

    Paris Air Lab will also offer the opportunity to explore new ideas and immersive experiences using virtual reality and augmented reality.

    Paris Air Lab will be located next to The Careers Plane - Jobs & Training Forum, an area dedicated to jobs and training in the aerospace sector, with a strong focus on innovation and environmental responsibility.

    Designed in collaboration with the Hopscotch Agency, Paris Air Lab will be centred around three main areas: "Pick-up your Innovation" - "Visionary Hub" - "Experimental Gates".

    Exibition areas dedicated to innovations in the aerospace sector
    (major players and start-ups)

    This area will offer a journey through various exhibition areas dedicated to innovations in the aerospace sector, connected to the digital sectors. These zones will create a journey that explores both the collaborative research of large-scale groups, through major national and European programmes, and the abundance of creative start-ups in the field.

    These themed blocks dedicated to collaborative innovation in the sector will be organized into three paths that provide insight into the work of large-scale groups, research institutes and start-ups, with three themes:

    • "Aeronautics" (aircraft of the future, sustainable aviation, propulsion, etc.) ;
    • "Digital and new applications" (drones, connectivity, the aerospace plant of the future, etc.) ;
    • "Space" (Earth observation, space agencies, etc.).

    This area will also host two daily events, featuring presentations and keynote speeches from key manufacturers in the sector, introducing a themed series of "pitches" from start-ups.

    To explore new ideas

    Short conferences for extraordinary encounters in the aerospace world of tomorrow.
    Following the Battle Confs model, iconic figures and experts from a wide variety of backgrounds will hold discussions and debates aimed at inspiring the general public's interest in the major evolutions of today and tomorrow.

    Immersive and innovative experiences

    Immersive and innovative experiences in the world of aeronautics and space travel using virtual and augmented reality.

    This area will be designed around four main themes: the cockpit, flight, space discovery, and becoming an astronaut.

    The Paris Air Show is already sold-out! (October 2016)

    The International Paris Air Show Le Bourget (SIAE) is already 99% booked – which is a first!

    The organisers started marketing the show in March, and within just a few months all the exhibition spaces in the 6 halls and almost all the 330 business chalets have been booked by exhibitors from the world over.

    “We are happy and proud that our show is still very much seen as where it is all happening. This is because over the years we have always strived to provide our exhibitors and visitors with the best possible business platform. It also reflects how our industry is in excellent health”, said a delighted Emeric d’Arcimoles, Paris Air Show CEO.

    Paris Air Show: ISO 20 121 certification renewed (October 2016)

    logo__iso_20_121_copy2.jpgThe International Paris Air Show (SIAE) has just had its ISO 20 121 Corporate Social Responsability (CSR) certification renewed by SGS France for its responsible event management. In June 2013, SIAE was the first french event (and second in the world after the London Olympics) to receive this certification.

    The Paris Air Show becomes the first event in the world to have its ISO 21 121 certification renewed.

    This renewal recognises the consistency quality of SIAE's approach over the past three years.
